Hoover S3577 hose assembly needed

I need to replace the hose assembly on our beloved Hoover S3577 canister vac (aka TurboPower 5000).

As best I can tell, it's Hoover part #43433107.

Evidently, the part has been discontinued and I can't find one anywhere.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I found a Futura parts machine with the grayish color you're looking for. I can't remember what condition it's in. I know it was dusty, but I think its been washed.

What are you looking to pay?

I'll have to take a picture of it and look at the condition.

In addition, I have an entire Futura/Powermax variable speed canister with extra wide pn I'll be listing on Ebay in the next couple of days. Its a forest green colour and has been reconditioned.

The model the hose is from is an S3555.

It was thoroughly washed and forced air dried as I intended to hold onto it.

It's in generally good condition and the electrical works. It doesn't look like the hose has been squashed or any other types of inordinate wear.

The only issue is the last inch of exposed hose is worn with cracks in that inch.
What should happen is the end should be opened up, the hose shortened, and the end put back on. I suppose one could simply take tape that is about an inch wide and wrap it over that section of cracks. Or perhaps simply use caulking to seal the opening.

If you're interested in buying it as-is, I would sell it for the $35 incl. s//h.
Buy with confidence as I'm a top seller on Ebay and it's now listed there.

I don't plan to buy any more Futuras and have an adequate supply of parts at this point.

There's a picture of the vac it came from. It's a parts machine and has already had several parts taken from it. The motor, interestingly seems to work perfectly.

I've included a picture of a vac you say you have. Note that my hose will work with the 5000 vac pictured, but the end of the hose is not the same. Frankly, if your hose has the 'gas pump' style hose end, it should have screws on the side making it easy to disassemble and install on my hose, if interested. Unfortunately, that hose won't work for me, since it's cracked/split at the wand end - just like the one I'm looking to replace.

I assume those hoses have a tendency to crack at that same spot due to flexing/bending over time.

In any case, I appreciate your efforts in trying to help me.

Maybe someone else here has one that's in good working order?

If I was you, I wouldn't throw your old hose out. If you can get the machine end & handle end off of your Hoover hose, you can always take new hose material & put the old ends on to make a new hose. If you can find a black Filter Queen hose, that would make a ideal candidate. You would have to hack off the rubber hose cuffs on the Filter Queen hose to make it work though. Also, just keep a eye on Ebay CONSTANTLY....you never know what's going to pop up.

Thanks for the advice. I initially thought about trying to repair the existing hose, but the plastic end pieces appear to be non-removable. They are constructed as "split-halves" and the two halves appear to be permanently glued or heat-welded together. So repair is probably not a practical option.

I'll follow your advice & keep an eye on eBay.

John, sorry to hear repairing the hose is not an option. I thought the halves could be separated, but guess I was wrong. Keep a eye on Ebay, the hose Delaneymeegan posted looks nice. However, though, it IS used, so keep that in mind with something so cheap, who knows how much longer it will last.

I did a little more digging around, & if you don't mind actually investing in this Hoover, I was actually able to find you a new hose. This hose I am linking to is a generic hose, but that's actually a GOOD thing, & may be actually better for your situation. It appears the hose manufacturer used the Futura straight-suction machine end & modified the Futura straight-suction handle end with a tube on the end that attaches to the hose material. The actual hose itself is just an ordinary crushproof generic replacement hose with pigtail wires....as long as you take care of it & don't leave the hose attached to the wand when storing the cleaner, it should last a long time. Should the hose material itself ever require replacement for some reason, any vac shop should be able to order that exact same generic replacement hose in crushproof material, so very easy to repair at home should it ever need it.

I know what you're saying about the ends being glued together.

The gas pump style hose end is actually screwed together, making it repairable.

If this vacuum is "beloved" and you plan to hold onto it, there will most likely be need to repair the hose in the future.
If you're able to fix, I would get a hose with the gas pump handle and hold onto the hose you have. If something happens to the "new" hose, you can either shorten the hose slightly and reinstall the end
OR
use the gas pump end on the hose you currently have.

Just a thought.
As we go forward, I doubt it's going to be any easier finding replacements.

The hose you got should work fine and will be of a better quality hose than your previous.

Early 90's Hoover Futura/ Spectrum/ PowerMax/ Turbo Power 5000 and 6000 machines had a grayish colored ribbed hose material that was known for permanent kinks and then splitting later in life. They did not adjust well from cold to warm either.

The hose that you found was a replacement to the basic style hose that you had, just a shame that it lacks the suction valve regulator. The gas pump handle with no switches was actually a hose found on later model lines of the Hoover Turbo Power 5000 S3577 machine in addition to later Hoover PowerMax Supreme S3530, Hoover PowerMax Deluxe: S3601, S3607, S3608, S3606 and later 2004 approximate series Hoover Turbo Power 5000 S3612.

I've always found it interesting that Hoover made a few changes to the Turbo Power 5000 which modeled a Futura Supreme S3567/ S3569 series during its run, then completely discontinued machine. However, the Turbo Power 5000 name was later reincarnated into a machine modeling a PowerMax Deluxe and given the model number S3612.
