Hoover POWERMAX questions

Today I had the fortune of recieving a maroon hoover powermax for FREE! It is missing the dust brush and crevice tool and it needs a new handle and power drive cable,  but it does work! I am very exited about it, I normaly stay away from the higher end hoovers but I like this thing alot! I would like to know when this machine was made and if the power drive cable off of a later concept will work with it. Also was this vac part of the concept family or the elite family? I really would apreciate some imformation as I vaguely remember some fammily friends of ours that used to live close by had one of these a long time ago and for some reason I loved the way it looked, what with the handle full of switches, the hose and wands off on the side, and the tools behind the tinted plastic door, there was just something about it that I liked. ( I always knew I would end up owning one

I think this was after the concept line. Just a guess on my part, we didn't have a lot of Hoovers in my family.

That hoover would have been early 90's, probably 92?
I don't know about the cable?
