Hoover Power Nozzle Compatibility

Do you have Electrified hose??

According to schematics, and amperage, I don't believe that Futura came with a power nozzle. Therefore you may not be able to run one period on that machine. Does your hose have electrical wiring in it, you'll be able to tell if there is a recepatacle on the underside of the handle?

The power nozzle above is a Windtunnel nozzle. It comes with a 3 prong cord, the cord that you need is 2 prong. If your suction unit is compatible to running a Power nozzle, which I don't think it is, then I'd still wait for another one to hit eBay or try this one in the link. The one in this link will work.

If you can take a picture of the top of your suction unit, there would be connector inside the handle area where electrified cord would go for running power nozzle. Some Futura canister models accepted a PN and some didn't. The amperage of the machines running one on the manufacturer sticker would up around 9.8 Amps and not 7.6.

I will post a photo of the top of the canister.

I really don't want to spend a lot of money. The link above would cost almost $100.00 shipped. Yikes!

Thanks for all of your help.

I will post the photo as soon as I can get my son to email one to me.

Photos of my son's Hoover Futura

Thanks for looking at these photos. I hope you can advise me if this model is able to have a power nozzle connected to it.

I have a total of nine photos.

Sorry,

From those pictures it looks like that is a suction only machine. You cannot fit a power head to that machine.

Sorry!

No this Hoover Futura would not be capable of running an electric power head.

Hoover canisters only take Hoover attachments. You would need to find an adapter to change over and user other manufacturer tools. As much as I love these canisters I'm sure how well it would do with an air turbine head though. A Windtunnel one would be fine but a Futura might not handle that well. There's a big difference in the suction power on these canisters compared to what a household installed central vacuum system would be produce to run those turbine nozzles.

I'll forward over to this thread any good deals I find.
