Anyone got pictures of the Windtunnel S3640?

I have been looking around and I cant find anything about the Hoover Windtunnel ultra canister with the S3640 model number.

Wind Tunnel Canister

One of the places where my grandparents rented in Florida had a Hoover Wind Tunnel canister in hunter green from the late '90s. When they first got there they found the power nozzle pretty much inoperable. I think the motor was seized with dust and hair and the belt needed changing. When I came to stay with them for a week I disassembled it and cleaned the motor and got it running again and then we got a belt for it at a local vacuum shop and it turned out to be a pretty decent cleaner. Before that they were just trying to use the direct suction from the vacuum and not getting very far.

Someone MIGHT know what im talking about....

Theres another rare Hoover Powermax canister, black in color, but not a TurboPower. One from the very late 90s or early 2000s, reminiscent of the S3607 Deluxe or S3530 Supreme. I saw it listed a few times awhile back on sites like Kijiji in Canada so IDK if it was a Canadian exclusive model. Anyone know of that model. The pic below is of an S3607 but it looks alot like what im referring to.

Kmart had a black one! It was a PowerMax Runabout S3614. Same features as the burgundy S3607 that you posted but added a brush roll on/ off switch.

I also believe there was a black PowerMax S3609 that had controls on hose handle for brush roll on/ off and full machine on/off but I have never come across that exact model. Maybe it was Canadian?

Thanks for the reply!!!!

Yep, I'm very familiar with the runabout version of the cleaner, always thought that one had a cool look. The one I'm referring to MIGHT be the S3609 you talked about. I saw it on a Canadian site a few years back so its definitely one of the more elusive models.

I have the tan colored PowerMax Deluxe canister vac; Model S3601. I picked it up at a thrift store a couple/few years ago. I think I paid something like $5.99 for it.
It was complete, but very dirty. And, someone had messed up the power nozzle, and I had to figure out how to fix it. It was my first attempt at repairing a power nozzle.
It cleaned up great, and now works great too. It may be a base model, but it’s a pretty nice machine. If I end up keeping it, I’ll eventually upgrade to the hose with the switch to turn the brushroll on and off.

The S3601 is a great unit. It really wasn't base unit. It was part of the last of the PowerMax line and since the Windtunnel line joined the market, Hoover gave feature preference to the Windtunnels over the PowerMax series. The end of the run of the PowerMax Deluxe series with the tan S3601, translucent blue S3606, deep wine burgundy S3607 and translucent red S3608 all had the same features with no brush roll on/ off or variable speed. The Windtunnel lineup got those features.
