Hoover Platinum Bagless

I might get one. What does everyone think of them? I HATE bagless, but I am going to get it, just in case a friend or acquaintence? has a Kirby, Rainbow, ect ect ect, and thinks bagless is best, I will trade them. What does everyone think of them? Does anyone own one?

I'd say if you are going to get a bagless, get a machine that's withstood the test of time. My two favorite bagless machines are the Amway CMS 1000/ClearTrack (the first bagless available here in the U.S.), or if you can find one a Fantom Thunder. Also, the Amway has an 8-amp motor, so it's not quite as much of a "gas guzzler" as the Dyson with a 12. I'm sure the new Hoover has a 12-amp motor as well. My house is wired for maximum load of 30 amps. IMHO 12 amps is waaaaay too much current for a vacuum to draw. One thing's for sure, it's definitely not Hoover "as we knew it...." I almost wish TTI would fold before they can inflict any shame on the Hoover name.
