Ignorant HSN people...

I saw the demonstration on HSN, and the women on there put it through heck! They were picking up sharp objects in large piles, and all around showing how powerful and the amount of abuse it could take. They thought it was fine and dandy to run it over that junk. And when it bogged down they just dated it was powering through it. Not taking notice of how bad they were treating it. People these days don't understand what a dirty air system is. It appeared to be a tank of a vacuum though! It took a beating and kept going for sure. It also seemed to groom high pile well and picked up pet hair excellent. They may have the video on HSN.com. Or search YouTube for user reviews I guess. Hope this was helpful, despite I have no actual experience with it.

They do clean pretty nicely i tried one out at a Sears it seemed to really vibrate that rug unlike anything else i tried out. The owner of the vac shop i go to has said they suffer from frequent circuit board failures though which is too bad they seem nice otherwise.

I actually owned one for two years up until about a week ago. It really groomed the carpets well but smelled bad whenever I used it. We change the bags frequently but even after changing the bag, it still smelled like wet dog. I got rid of it and bought a Miele S7 Twist upright based primarily on my amazing experience with Miele's canisters.

Hoover design

I'm not sure what to think of the design. They seemed to want to make an Oreck killer, so they crammed a 12amp motor into an Oreck like vacuum. If I remember correctly, the bags are like $5 a piece which really adds up if you have to change them frequently due to bad smells. The vacuum got excellent reviews in the leading consumer magazine.

It actually has a 5 amp motor, bag is HUGE, same price as the one in my T type.35 ft cord, NICE.LED headlight, 2 speed. I liked.

Good thing I passed I guess. Not only from the help/opinions here, but just had to have mom's Honda towed in. This will be on me to pay for. 93 with 41,000 miles.
