I found a Hoover model 63 at the flea market nearby....it was in nice shape.....Im going to go back later a buy it if its still there.....because i didn't have no money on me.....i will post a picture of it later if i buy it....which I probably will.

here it is!

I just bought it!.....Its in nice condition....except for a bad scratch on the right side of the base.

any more info/pics?

that blemish on the base is easily overlooked considering the lovely bag and original looking cord.

you could spray only the blemished area, repaint the entire casting, or strip all the paint on the upper surface of the casting and buff it out.

any other suggestions?

My 63 is one of my very favorites in my collection. I remember my Grandmother (that I did not see very often)
got a brand new one back in the day !
I got mine from club member Micheal Hayes, in Greenville
Ohio. One of my first add to's in my collection.
Thanks to Tom Anderson I have a great tool set!

What A Great Find!!

Especially with the original cord and bag! Once you get the base touched up it will be one fantastic machine, and I could tell from the video that it runs as great as it looks!! Congratulations!

Travis,

Congratulations on your find. You are very lucky to have found such a nice example. The bag is the hardest part to find. You did a great job. The machine runs beautifully in your video too. Thanks for sharing it with us. I would leave the scratches as they add character to the machine and help tell its story. It seems to have had a very caring owner and now it is in very good hands. I know that you will enjoy owning it.
