Hi,
I'm a bit new to vintage vaccums so please excuse me if I'm asking a newbie question.
I am restoring both a model 300 and a model 700 special (updated to a 725) vacuum cleaners. I would like to use them for use in my weekly cleaning. However, The beater bar that the model 300 came with has worn brushes and bearings and the model 700 came with a replacement brushroll which I'm not sure how to identify. I have taken a few pictures of this brushroll.
Is a way to subatitute the older beater bars and use more attainable and newer brushroll/beater bars? Or a vintage hoover convertible beater bar? I'm not sure if they are the same size. I have seen the eureka sanataire beater bar but I'm not sure if it will fit or break something. If I am able to use a different brushroll or beater bar, is there a different type of belt I would need?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Sean B.
