Hoover Model 27

Hello All:

Would someone who owns a Hoover model 27 with the original paint finish please share with me whether or not the gray color on the sides of the hood matches the color of the metal base? Also does the handle match the top of the hood?

Hello,

The gray color on the sides of the hood match the gray color of the base. The top of the hood looks like brown burled walnut. The handle is very dark brown and the cord is dark brown. The bag is a wine color. It is a very strange color combination all the way around.

Do you have a Hoover 27? I finally found one on ebay and have not seen another one on there since. I was lucky and got an all original one.

I do, but the motor base and handle were repainted and I want to correct the colors.

Brochure, Ad, et cetera

The attached magazine ad picture appears more brownish than grayish to me, or is it a result of colorshift or artistic freedom?

If either is the case my next question is if the same base & partial hood color was used on the Model 27 and the models 150, 160 (UK) and 305?

Finally, it seems as though at least some if not all the UK Model 612's hoods were styled in a burled walnut design like the Model 27.
