I've been wanting a good battery powered vac for a while and I've been looking at the Linx but thought they were mad expensive. Even a "factory reconditioned" one on Ebay would run about $100 plus shipping. At Kohl's today, they had them on sale for $159 and with some merchandise credits and a few gift cards plus a 30% scratch off bonus if you use your Kohl's card, this new baby cost me all of $34!!! I have to say I really like it and I think it will be great for quick pick ups in between regular vacuumings.

I like mine. I, too, was hesitant at the cost but read decent reviews on it for a cordless model. It is about the best I have ever used as a cordless. The charge lasts fairly long, it is reasonably quick to recharge and it does an amazing job, even on carpet, for a battery operated vac. Granted, it is not deep cleaning, but it does a great surface clean.

I liked my first reconditioned one from amazon so well I bought the display at Target this month for $83, back up! Spare battery and charger that way too I figure.

You got a great deal...

That's WAYYYY below cost...even for a reconditioned machine. You got a great deal, my friend!

I've had my eye on those, too... But the price has kept me away. Now with the Dyson Digital Slim out on the market, I'm thinking I want that instead... granted it's almost double the price of the Hoover, but I like that it has a wall-charger. I also didn't like that the head of the Hoover doesn't swivel. It looks like it should, but I was super surprised when I first tried one at the store and it didn't.

Funny you mention that Fred, since I use the dc 18 a lot, I tend to expect the LiNX to swivel too! Just habit after a couple years.Still love it.

I got my Linx at target also on clearance and I to love it. I couldn't belive it when I saw the box marked 44.00 I just couldn't leave it there lol. But I would love a spare battery but the cheapest I've seen was 65 bucks.
Fred I agree I was waiting for the Dyson too. Looks like ill just be waiting a little longer lol.

Sent the new one home with mom today, really a spare for me and she will probably find it a lot easier to use in her senior apt than her upright she has to dig out. Waiting for her report, she still has my old B&D upright from ten? years ago. It used the 2 removable cells. Still going, but not great. Will let you guys know what she thinks. d.
