Hello all :)
i was in Homebase today, and it was the first ever time ive visited a homebase store acctually, i was looking at the floor care section (im not that into vaccumes but i do find them slighty interesting), and i saw a Hoover Handy plus hand held vac, i have a wet and dry electrolux rapidO, however, due to building work that has been taking place in the kitchen, ive lost the attatchments for it (ive found the crevice tool but not the rubber squeegie), and it is/can be messy to empty and it hurts my wrist when i use it because its fairly heavy, the Hoover was on offer at £23 from £30, so i grabbed one.
My nan has a Hoover FreeJet stick vac which she has nothing but good to say about, so i was even more keen to grab it, also, the Handy plus can last for 14 minutes on a full charge which is a few minutes longer than my rapidO which lasts for 10 minutes :(.
So, here are some pictures of it :)
Enjoy :)
Tom :)
P.S i think the box is misleading as the box shows a yellow model, and it is only when you read a sticker on the side of the box, that you know what colour is really in the box.

I shall give my oppinions on it tomorrow as it needs to charge for 24h prior to first use :)
Its very quiet and light weight so it seems like a winner with me at the moment :)

Does go to show the difference in design from a 1951 Hoover handheld and a 2012 one doesn't it ?

One advantage to mine is that it is AC powered with a super long flex so no charging up or worrying about it dying, just plug it in and you can vacuum for hours if need be.

hahahahahaha!!! i dont think it will be as good as its 1952 equivilent lol
it does seem well made, i use hand vacs for picking up catnip cat fur crumbs, ect

I have a handheld rechargeable Vacuum Cleaner as well, a cheap Woolworths one which I bought for £1.50 last year from the recycling store.

Works well in terms of reliability but the suction is piss poor.

The Dustette on the other hand is amazing suction wise and the only sound it makes it the air going through the fan! The motor is practically 100% silent.

Here is a picture of my Woolworths vacuum and a link to a thread with more pictures and information.
