My black Legacy sounds and works as nicely as it did the day it left the factory.
John also insisted that I leave with a beautiful Elite 350 from 1991 and two SteamVacs that got left behind by neglectful owners.

Looks like you two had a great time!!!
Sweeper Central does have a very nice showroom of machines over there. It is neat to see Hoovers of nearly all generations and models not seen anywhere else.
Glad to see that John got your Legacy working well again. They are good cleaners.
Thank you for posting of the new power nozzle canisters. Definitely different designs. The navy blue Envy Hush appears to have the same power nozzle as the current model cyclonic bagless Whisper Zen and MultiCyclonic canisters as can be found in Target. Very lightweight, smaller packaged power nozzle. Probably very good for those homes that are about 75% hard surface floors with a few area rugs.
The Quiet Force looks more full sized. TTI seems to not like the headlight idea. The Maytag version power nozzles of the original Windtunnel, Futura, and PowerMax heads, with exception of the the BOL Encore Supreme styled power head with single brush agitator, all had headlights. The TTI power heads such as the very nice looking head that comes on the red cyclonic SH40055 or green SH40050 do not have headlights but otherwise those power heads look like they pack a big punch. It's a shame that TTI doesn't like headlights, as it makes tight hallways, under bed and furniture cleaning so easy!! It's one thing I plan to talk with FilterQueen about as well when I get the chance to visit them in Ohio in a few months.
For John Gregory and any vacuum manufacturers reading this: I do wish that manufacturers would also consider a canister vacuum with separate, fully functional independant tools again. Yes I realize the belief about smaller packages, saving costs, and convenience. While there is some convenience to an all in one tool, it quickly becomes inconvenient when it limits the ability for user to clean something more thoroughly and reach more places. The approximate 5" long crevice tool on the previous Windtunnel Anniversary canister although its own separate tool was designed to be essentially USELESS!! It just can't reach behind, under and inside things like the longer one on the previous Windtunnel canister which I could easily clean refrigerator coils with.
Despite not being too fond of its power head, I appreciate the Panasonic MC-CG902 canister vacuum for having 4 full sized on board tools!!! I also appreciate the FilterQueen Majestic for that as well. The FilterQueen allows user to attach hose handle directly to wand or power head which makes stair cleaning and upholstery very easy.

Very interesting how that tool garden is arranged on the blue Hoover Celebrity. I've been checking out photos in vintage ads that I've seen for them. The pattern I've found most often is: dusting brush in front right, bare floor brush immediately behind and upholstery nozzle on left. This arrangement would be from looking at machine from the front side.
It's not labeled on the machine what goes where, but my observation over the last few days, is that if not positioned a certain way, the attachments can interfere with how well the machine stands up. I also don't want to break anything upon opening unit to check bag.
I caught a glimple of the red and white model, several months back in a post that John Long had of a visit to John Gregory's store. It is unfortunate that despite my interest and curiousity of some machines found in photos of that post regarding a commercial Legacy, that some harsh things were said towards me that put a bad taste in a mouth. Internet photos give only so much contrast. The greater details and construction can only be experienced in real life.
I love supporting a local economy and hoping small business owners. I'm glad that you are getting great service and having fun learning about other machines at the store. It is always good to feel appreciated as a customer and getting respect. There is a diner in NE Philadelphia area that my family used to have lots of dinners at. Tremendous portions, good food, very nice atmosphere and plethora of menu options. I have a passion for Chicken Parmesan and there's was FANTASTIC. Unfortunately the wait staff was quite unpleasant and didn't seem to give a crap. Since we generally ate there as a party of 9+ people, an 18% gratuity was automatic, perhaps maybe that's why they didn't care as much. They soon lost our business!!

I really like the looks of that Quiet Force but have never seen it on the Hoover Website or anywhere else until it was posted here. Are there certain models of Hoover machines sold only in their dealerships?

Plus he has the MOST knowledge about Hoover vacuums PERIOD he is a wonderful friend .

Your Hoover legacy (750 or 780?) is the 2nd to last BOL model. The 730, the only no-on-board attachment Legacy model was the BOL and consequently the vacuum I am set on finding. Very nice vault collection too, wish my vac guy was more enthusiastic about what he does!

I'm so happy Hoover has revamped their canister line. It actually looks great. Glad to see bagged canisters that look like they're a real step up from the "anniversary model" canister.
