I have a Floor Mate and love it! Mine is the newer design with the fold down handle.

It works great, my only complaint is the water tank is to small. I have even used it on my hardwood, being very careful not to use to much water and to dry it right away.

Mine had trouble at first, but Fred S. came to my resque. Not a problem since.

I have one as well but I'm not sold on it for all the fuss and bother setting up and cleaning it. I can do the job much faster and quieter with my Vileda mop and matching bucket.

Pete, sometimes when you have a chance it would be great if you would post a picture of the mop and bucket you are talking about. I know that I would be interested. Thanks

Floor mate is a great machine. My daughter wanted one for her kitchen and foyer that is all wood. We shared the cost of a new one when they first came out. Maybe 5/6 years ago. I just last fall replaced the rubber edges for her. Other then that it gets used every week. With family and little kids running over the floors all the time. I will say she was disppointed in the dry suction cleaning? It didn't pick up Cherrios and the like. Had to explain it was ment for crumb and dust buddies, not major kid damage!! LOL!
Morgan, her wood floors have stayed very nice. They do have the
extra, industrial poly finish, sure that helps!

slow and steady

I think it has pleanty of water I in fact have a 3700 sqft house and its mostly tile and I usually dont use all of the water in it. I was kind of put of by it at first but got used to it and now it gets used atleast once a week. Where as I would mop when I was absolutley sick of dirty floors lol. I hate mopping.

I got the purple one a few years back for Christmas. It's ok for normal floors but I'm really hanging on to it until we get tile floors(I hope soon). I love stripping the floors with it though. Good machine!

The BEST mop in the world...

You can get these at Linnes 'n Things...I have had one for several years now and it is totally the best mop ever. I especailly like it because when your done, you just rip the pad off and throw it through the wash with your rags and your clean and ready to go next time. It also wrings out really dry so I don't worry about using it on our wood floors.
