Hoover Elite 200 Issue

Hi, I have an Elite 200 that I recently just obtained and the thing won't turn on at all and I think it might be the switch but I'm not sure. I already cleaned the inner plug and prongs. Has anyone experienced a similar problem to mine ?

I just checked the switch with a multimeter and it does work so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Never Mind

The armature windings weren't even attached to the commutator. This thing was toast.
