Hi Vacuumland, I have received a Hoover Dustette Model 100 today that I won off Ebay last week. I got the highest bid of $51.00, which I thought was a reasonable price considering it's the rare version, in the box with the instruction manual.

It looked like it had barely been used and well-kept when I pulled it out, it was just very dusty and the bag had dust in it.

I believe this was the third restyling of the original Dustette that was released in 1930. I also believe that this particular style I have was made from 1955-59.

Can anybody please date this one for me? Serial no. 371423.

Thanks.

Hi. I believe this was to match the Hoover Junior 1224 and the Senior 638. They restyled the former model 119 in 1955 bringing out the cream and blue colour scheme. The 1224 was also avalible in other colour schemes as well.

hoover pixie with a kirby bag

thought i'd step waaayyy out & try something different. took a 4" 90 degree elbow & attached it to the pixie & then attached a kirby bag. works good but has nothing to attach the bag to so it's sorta floppy. might add a hook or something to the handle to hold the big bag in place. the other wire thing you see was to keep it from rolling over when i bent them down. they have been removed. i did not like them on there. just got bored & wanted to try something that had not been done before.
