Hoover Dial a Matic Paint.

I need to repaint the beige base of a basic Hoover Dial a Matic. Can anyone give me a recommondation of where I can get a good spray paint, what color even a number would be close and also what I can use to smooth out some very light imperfections? I am on a budget. Thanks so much!
