I have never seen so many vintage hoovers in one spot on the same day!! I need a floor tool of some kind to go on my constellation, so I got the blue broom. Something tells me the self propelled thing might be special?

I had a Quik Broom almost just like that back in the late '80s and into the '90s. I got rid of it when I was moving in 1998 and now regret doing so. I found a Quik Broom Supreme last summer at a thrift store and paid too much for it. I don't like it nearly as well as my old blue one. Oh well, at least I've got something to pick up the cat litter.

Human! This is my fourth one. All the others were not very good. This one for some reason is very strong and actually works. When I have played with it for a while and get tired of it, I will give you a shout.

That Quickbroom was the first one I bought.

Attachments, too....  works great.

Yes,  that self-propelled upright IS a great cleaner.  the Concept II.  It has the Helpmate on board.  I must get one of them one day.  Be careful picking them up.  They are NOT supposed to be picked up by that handle.  There is a very convevnient carry handle bail for that.  People broke them/abused them all the time.  That goes back to the "power drive Dial A Matics.  It tells you in your manual how to care for,  treat,  AND carry them.  You'd see morons all the time picking them up the wrong way.  Some are even vac experts. Thse things can last a lifetime when cared for correctly.

That Concept is a well made, powerful cleaner.

Thanks for that Packardmanken.

Both Quik Brooms I've owned were pretty good on hard floors but almost useless on carpet. While the Quik Broom Supreme may have a more powerful three-speed motor, I think the older blue Quik Broom's simpler nozzle design gives it better air flow and fewer opportunities for debris to form obstructions. When I got the Quik Broom Supreme last summer, it was totally obstructed and required a complete tear-down of the nozzle to clear everything out. Nasty doesn't begin to describe it.

Human! Is it not amazing how nasty some of the vacuums are when they are supposed to be CLEANING our homes? I truly believe many of these discarded vacuums are just given up on because they themselves have not been cleaned or maintained like any machine would be? My grandmothers Electrolux XXX looked and ran as good in 2000 when she died as it did the day she bought it. But then everything she had did!
