cosmetically and mechanically serviced. i love the wild offbeat colors this thing has! VERY 1970's! got it for $45 on ebay. i was the only bidder. first pic is it in pieces before i serviced the motor bearings.

after servicing. all shined up like new! runs amazingly. who ever had it before me had the motor serviced. i just cleaned up the carbon buildup on the armature, and lubed the bearings.

Very nice find and unusual looking makes it better..
although I agree with John, to my eyes the color combo is hideous looking. I guess I'd call it the ugly duckling model LOL

She's one to keep that's for sure!

I see you use 3-In-1 oil on your Vacuum Cleaners. So do I, and I find it works great on the brush roll bearings.

thanks for all the kind words ya'll. it really does run great after being serviced. convertibles are much easier to cosmetically restore than a kirby. don't get me wrong i like Kirby a ton, but its much messier to make it look new. sad part is, with the 707, i offically have no more room for vacs. yet there i still want a robins egg blue connie 86, and i still have a dual sanitronic 50 for my collection that will be quite some time before i actually have it in my house! (it's at a friends where my vac business is).

I did notice in your video. . .

that the motor was running on high speed. It is supposed to be running at low speed for vacuuming carpets and high ONLY when the hose converter is connected. You should recheck the speed actuator and set it to low speed. Otherwise, it looks very nice!

Agreed with John and Pete !

@ John Long, the 707 is one of my favorite Hoovers, among all of my Favorite Kirby's. Yes, it is like a model 28, a must in any collection. Especially
among Hoover Collectors.
Agreed Pete it is a very different color and look, but it purrs and cleans,So
well !
