Hoover Convertible Model 35 Special

I found this nice Convertible today at my favorite thrift store for $10. I was told this a Special model and really uncommon, especially with the original bag. It runs great, just needs a new belt. Any information on it would be awesome!

My mothers first vacuum

was the Model 35 she received it for her wedding shower. 1966 was the year and it was purchased at a local appliance store called Silo . I still have the vacuum it`s like brand new. I did replace the bag because the snaps broke . Wish I would have kept it though .I think she said her fellow nurses at the hospital where she worked paid around $45.00 for it and it came with the attachments.

Chase here is some more info about the model 35 Convertible

Model 35 Special- 1964-1966. Light Venetian gold and pearl white. The bag was no longer lettered Convertible Special. Early versions have large medallions later have small stick on. I hope this is the info you were looking for.....PAT COFFEY
