Hoover convertible help!

Hi! I am starting to restore my hoover convertible but I can't get the hood off. Help please!

Hello

There should be screws underneath the base of the cleaner. There were two on my plastic base model Convertible. They are beside the back of the rug plate on ether side. Hope this helps!

Nice Hoover!! I agree with KirbyLux. If you need anymore help let us know and keep us posted along the way!! Hoover Convertibles are one of the best vacuums of all time. Many collectors on here love them and there is tons of knowledge to be found here of them.

Convertibles

I have to say, Convertibles are very addictive! When I got mine I had never used one before. A new bag and belt and I was amazed! Very good cleaner and very simple to service. Now I need about a hundred more! LOL

My first vintage vacuum was a Hoover Convertible. It's actually that same orange one.

Where does one get brushroller parts like the slide out brushes, and bearings?

Agitator brushes for these are still made just different part numbers from those years ago because the beater bar has been removed. Many places stock the CWP brush rolls which I don't recommend.
