I have a Hoover conny for sale for $75.00 I bought It at an estate sale in Arkansas it has had very little use according to ladys son. it has all attachments and air driver power brush.Or I would trade for a eureka princess vac like we had when I was a kid the eureka pics are not mine but what I want.

"For sale is a pink ( rare )hoover canister vac."

Gary, if you look at his other posting in the Contemporary forum, that's what he says there. Perhaps this was a exclusive color for a particular chain of stores, such as Home Depot or Lowes. Just a guess there.

Shane, good luck in finding your Eureka & finding the Connie a new home. If my finances were in better shape right now, I would be buying it for sure!

I don't think that would have ever come in pink from the factory. If you look at the pictures, especially the one where you can see the bag door latch, it looks like it's still partly white. I imagine someone had it custom painted, which wouldn't be too hard to do. Although whomever did paint it took care to remove and replace the stickers on the top portion of the cleaner. It sure is cute, though! Makes me want to pull mine off the shelf and take it for a spin!

I agree with the 'custom paintjob'

Hoover never made them in colors.....should have, like the old days, but didn't.
Can you imagine if they ever made a Connie in "Neptune /green"? the color of the famous model 69.
A floor polisher, portable, handivac, etc in THAT color would have been fantastic.
Removing that sticker, painting, reapplying the sticker could be easy.
One of our British friends has restored abused Connies with great results. They're not the original color (colours for the Brits).
Good job, still.
John
