I was once told that by the end of the Connie in the UK, they were made partly, if not all out of plastic. Is there any truth to that?

yes it s justhe cleaning tools thats plastic our other cylinder cleaners like the hoover freedom was all plastic and metel exetention tubes the rest was plastic other fine cleaner

Nice to see such a late example with all of its bits in such nice condition. Think it must be from 1981/2, if you post the serial number you can find out to the month!
