Hoover Celebrities

My grandapa and I recently found a Hoover Celebrity Quiet Series (a lie). There was the exact model I got on ebay and went for $250. Are they really worth that much? I've used the vacuum only 3 times but I really like it. The Quadraflex works better on the Concept but it seems to deep clean well.

The Celebrity QS a friend of mine bought when they first came out was anything but quiet.  It ROARED.

I think the "a lie" statement referred to the "Quiet Series" tag... I also have a quiet series Celerbrity, and it's probably the loudest vacuum I have.... go figure... it gets a little quieter in low speed, but still loud..... I too think the Concepts performed better with the quadraflex brushroll than the Celebrities and subsequent canister that shared the power nozzle/brushrolll.

I think the one that went for $250 was fishy. These sell all the time for under $50 before shipping. It might be worth that much if it was new in box.
