Hi All. I had this come in to my possession today.A Hoover Aquatronic 1100 S4386. It seems to be all there. Needs a bit of a clean...
The only thing that is wrong is the crevice tool. It has the manual but just didn't put it in the picture as I forgot
I don't know that much about it apart from it was around in the late 80 very early 90s and was not around long and was not a big seller as the Aquamaster/AquaJet was far more popular.

I remember seeing them in brochures at the time.
Anyone ever had one before??

No but I did remember seeing it as a teenager and wanting one to see what it was like! I did have the burgundy LG upright thats pictured beside it - a fantastic bargain upright and a pity they don't sell them at Argos anymore. I believe they also sold under the Royal/Dirt Devil tag in the U.S with long metal pole handles as opposed to the plastic looped handle on the British market models.

Hi

Hi. It turns out I sold that LG today after it being there for months lol.
I sold that Green Hoover purepower today as well.
Just working on reconning a Vax,Samsung and Electrolux at the mo.
As well as working on a Dc24 that's come in for repair today...

Then might get that Hoover Aquatronic cleanned up.

These Aquatronic cleaners were not made by Hoover. I seem to have the idea they were popular in another part of Europe or similar. Vax had long been on sale by the time these Aquatronic cleaners were being advertised in the Hoover booklets, but I think Vax was yet to hit it's stride. I think once sales of Vax rocketed and Electrolux brought out the Masterlux, Hoover must have realised it was going to have to pull out all the stops. I always thought this cleaner was a half-attempt at testing the water. They can't have sold all that many of them. In fact, I don't ever remember seeing them in the shops.

I saw something a bit similar to that today when I was in the dry cleaners.

It was blue, about the same size, and had a square/rectangular tank at the front.

Could one of you do a video of the ins am outs of these? I have never seen one and I like how different they were.

The..

One vac I remember seeing was the same vac as the Aquatronic but it was a deep red in colour. But that was years ago.
I might do a video at somepoint once it's cleaned out.
It's bigger in real life than I expected it to be...Always wanted to see one.
I nearly got one last year but the lady binned it a week before she came in to my shop for a part for another one of her vacs...

I've not even switched it on yet.
I have no idea how it sounds or sucks...

Yep VR, I have a feeling it was a Karcher. I have a Hoover parts book somewhere with the line diagrams for this model. It may have been of Swiss origin - as discussed on Hooverland Yahoo Group. Anyone recognise the brand name "Vortice" ? As this may have been the original manufacturer.
