Hoover Aquamaster..?

I was browsing on eBay tonight and came across a replacement hose for a "Hoover Aquamaster." Never heard of it before. I went searching on google and found the link below. I guess it's a UK machine? Did this or one like it ever sell in the United States?

It was indeed a europe only machine (ie UK) 1980s wet and dry vac, could shampoo carpets also
