Hi everyone!
Could you help me? I "recently" got a Hoover aquamaster and it looks really nice, but it has a few problems. It sounds rough and vibrates. In the past it overheated a lot. Because of that i took it apart and removed a LOT of pet hair. I do not know what they did with it in the past but I think they sucked up about 15 dogs into that thing. My question is that if i continue to use it with a motor that sounds not quite perfect, will it blow up or harm me?
I Could be hallucinating because these machines are so rare in Hungary that I only heard another one on the internet.
Thanks in advance!

No

It won't blow up. If you cleaned it up and run it and maintain it you will be fine. The noise could be bearings.

No blow up, but you will ruin the motor continuing to use it like that. Considering it involves water I'm sure some water got to the axle or motor and it rusted a bit.

Just give it a full service on the motor with commutator/armature polish, new grease and/or oil where applicable, carbon brushes if needed, throw it all back together and will be right as rain. I am sure there is shops around that would be able to do that, or if you have the mechanical knowledge and study can tackle it yourself, but it is a challenge for a beginner so would be better for a shop to do.

Good luck!
