Before the Windtunnel they actually had a Powerdrive equipped upright that used one of their older bodystyles and just dumped the powerdrive system into. They called it...you're not going to believe this...the Hoover Powerdrive. This vacuum only lasted a year or two before they then developed the Windtunnel upright and the rest is history and that bodystyle lasted for decades and became iconic.The Powerdrive Windtunnel design dates back to 1998 or 1999, I believe, but this one dates back to July 2010 as indicated by the serial number.
Not sure what was so bad about the powerdrive Powerdrive but they never sold well and they are somewhat uncommon today. Only a few collectors on YouTube have one, and I don't think I remember seeing any posts of anyone on Vacuumland with one.
