Hoover and Eureka finds...

Now most of you know I dont collect many Hoovers, but I had always wanted one of these, so when I saw this at the Salvation Army for 13.00 I had to have it!!

Clean up and it was good to go!

This was at the Goodwill...5.00, I have to go to the storage building and hunt bags for it...and a dusting brush for the Hoover..

Did you know that the motor in the Portable, Slimline,and Dial A Matic are the same? Also, all 3 PLUS the Constellation ALL take the same bag...J Wasn't that brilliant and cost-effective??? Learn from the past.

I love the tool caddy on the Slimline. I've never cared much for them, but it looks so much better with that caddy. I guess I'll have to be on the look out for one of them now!

My Grandmom had a yellow slimline but the attachment storage caddy was inside the machine, behind the bag. Never seen one with attachment storage on the outside like that. Her slimline had terrific suction, and was quiet. I didn't even mind using it on the carpets, which is really strange for me as I'm primarily an agitator person. Mostly geared towards canisters with power head, if thats not available I take out an upright, but rare for me to just use straight suction for large areas.

less 'slim', indeed. They also put it on the 'putty' colored one, too.

Bagintheback,The caddy on these contains a cordwinder making this the most deluxe of slimlines.The inside is plain without the tool storage holes needed on the standard.--Hans,I was going to say I hadn't seen one of these since I walked upstairs but mine has no FLOWERS.This must be rarest.Would look good next to flower DAM.-Happy Hoovering-Jimmy

And it's got daisies on it... I can't recall ever seeing one with that tool caddy either. I've got the plain limey green model and I love the design of them but they're it's like tugging a brick across thick carpet.

Yes,

a D bag goes in the Dial A Matic. The J goes in the Connie, Portable, and Slimline.
