Hoover Air Revolve Canister Vacuum - $34.99...

I noticed some of you plan to give these as gifts to people. Are any of them averse to using a canister vacuum? Just wondering, because it seems like a lot of people that aren't vacuum enthusiasts don't want a canister anymore, and I don't know why. I could be over generalizing though. But we see what Hoover's lineup consists of, and that this seems to be their last canister for the household lineup. So it seems they're either trying to push people away from them, or customers don't want one.

I agree too on that. I have a few uprights but I don't like using them for above floor cleaning much at all. Canisters beat them on that unless they have a really long extension hose on them. I've been hit by a few that liked to fall over whenever the hose was used.

I don't know why people with no carpet still buy an upright unless it's just because that's what they're used to and it's what Walmart sells.

They don't clean bare floors that well, even with a brush shutoff and again, if they're using it mainly for the hose, there's better setups for that.

Christmas Gifts

I gave my mom and dad one for Christmas. I ended up helping them unbox it and assemble it....I must say, I’m VERY impressed with it so far! It’s quiet, powerful, and just a really cool vacuum. Mom loved it, but got half mad at me thinking I spent a lot of money on it for her! She has her Electrolux UltraLux 2000 for deep cleaning, so this will be good for quick pick ups! I’m really glad I was able to get in on this deal!

I would like to hear how this Hoover/Vax Air Revolve has performed in the weekly use.
Is the filtration really so bad what some videos have shown? I mean does the pre motor filter get so quickly dirty?
I am asking because I am trying to find one for myself.

Thanks :)

Interesting little vacuum.don't think it would be worth 300 bucks but for 25-35 bucks is sort of neat to play with. The powernozzle sound is irritating.Don't know if I would want to run the powernozzle over those beautiful wooden floors! If you are a pet user-the HEPA filter could get a stink after awhile. It is good you can replace it easily even though Hoover doesn't show it.-And if you can get a replacement.Spot on about the upholstery tools-the second one you used was better. That Hoover vacuum would indeed,be a good one for a collector more than a user. The plastic "ears" on the cyclone probably won't last long since they are small. Is that part available?

It is a fun little vacuum

I agree witb you it is more of a novelty for a collector, and I would never have paid the original MSRP of $399.99.

They, Hoover, could have made it much better, and a solid contender by fitting it witb a bag system, the poorly filtering, small capacity dirt container is what caused its failure,IMO.

Hello Everybody!

I was just wondering how everyone that purchased the Hoover Air Revolve Canister Vacuums at this mentioned Direct Tools sale is enjoying their Vacuums?

I ended up with three and two are still New in Box, Never Used and only turned on to check that everything is in working order. The third I use often and have truly enjoyed using this fun Hoover!

I also wanted to ask if anyone has located a supplier for the two Filters that go in the Dirt Bin?? I very carefully wash mine and they are still in great shape, but I fear as these three vacuums get older I might find the filters deteriorate at some point.

I’d LOVE to hear from others to see how they are enjoying their Hoovers and what their thoughts are on this Hoover Air Revolve. I still absolutely Love mine and have no complaints. It’s a bit odd and has it quirks but it’s so darn cute and unique that I enjoy using it very much!

Thank you again to Dan for finding this sale and mentioning it.. I still cannot believe they can sell a once suggested retail Vacuum for $400 then all the way down to $9.50 and Sadly I check this website often and they have Never priced any vacuums that cheaply again.

Just wanted to bump this Thread back into play and see if anyone else wanted to discuss this fun find and share anything new about others experiences with the Air Revolve.

Thanks, Patrick

Oh Less,

I’m so very sorry! I forget that the feeding frenzy of mad purchases made here were done so quickly that not everyone on this website that wanted to, was able to purchase this great deal.

My apologies and I didn’t mean to rub salt in old wounds.

I just love the vacuum and wanted to see how people that did get to purchase one were getting along with them and how they like them. I also want to see if everyone else’s Hoover Air Revolves are holding up very well to a lot of use. Mine is so durable it looks like brand new after just a wipe of the dust bin.

Also, I am not as informed to this website as to the rules of reposting or “where” I should put older threads like this one, so I hope I’ve not broken any rules or upset anyone.

Take care and again, my apologies Les!

Kidding

I was joking around. You posted correctly. I've never seen a product sell so quickly just by this thread. It's quite astonishing. I have seen a couple on eBay a few times.
Hoover should write you a thank you for clearing there warehouse.
I bet if we contact web sites about promoting great deals I think a few would do it. It would liquidate there inventory and get everyone here what they love which is vacuums.

I have not used mine yet because I have been in the process of cleaning my basement and garage which I plan to use for vacuuming videos (i don't have much room to run vacuums around freely yet), so it's still been sitting around. Something fell on it while it was in the basement and it got a little scratch on the nozzle but it is otherwise just as it came out of the box. I do want to use it because it looks really fun, just haven't been able to yet.

I did not catch it that late to pay $9 for it, I think I was one of the ones that got it for the $20 mark.

I did get those Hoover SpinScrubs they had for $9.99 though. I bought two. One for my upstairs of my house for my kitchen and bathroom floors, and one for my garage and basement which will likely get twice as filthy (heavy dirt and old paint flakes off the floor there). Just last month I finally found a battery and charger set for it for $27.

Still in the box

I did not wait for the lowest price but still feel I got it for a fair price. It's still unopened in the box...considering gifting it to a fellow collector. I am soo out of room!

Hi Les! So glad I didn’t cause too much harm in bringing up this Hoover Sale! I was hoping you were joking as I really do care about everyone here at this site and never want to offend anybody.

Hey Huskyvacs! I can’t wait to see your new video area and more videos! I hate to admit I somehow missed out that you have your own YouTube channel.. I subscribed today. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Hoover and I too bought that Spin Scrub and it is a nice floorcleaner! I will be checking out your channel to see if you have videos on it yet and can’t wait to see your videos on the Hoover Air Revolve too! Sorry about the scratch, I had that happen too when my Stick Vacs tipped and cause a Domino effect! Yikes at least my high end vacuums are all kept in a separate room, so only minor scuffs were caused to a few of my cheaper vacs.

Hi Vac-o-matic Rick! Wow, I can relate to the “out of room” feeling! I hate to say it but I’m wanting to buy more/new vacuums more quickly that I have room so I might be gifting some vacuums to other people myself too. That is very kind of you to think about other collectors too. I have met (online) with some of the nicest people here and for the most part I’ve been welcomed to this collectors sight with kind words and helpful advice.

Thanks everybody!

Patrick
