Heyy John
I would be interested in the base because my back wheels broke when the post office kicked it around. actually they broke at the base :(

The Model 700...

...is a beautiful machine, and cleans really well. The motor sounds really nice in use, too!

Yours should shine up nicely; here's mine as it was when I got it. At this point, all I'd done to it was wiped the dirt off the surface:

And here's mine after...

...with a proper bag, original plug (which actually cost me more than the cleaner itself!!), a set of 700 tools, and a manual, and having been polished and buffed.

I bought the cleaner through eBay, but it was local, and I picked it up myself. It's nice to have a cleaner which has been in Woking all it's life!

beautiful machine

what a beautiful machine! and the tool set... well . its examples like this that put todays cheap plastic rubbish to shame. at my hotel our hose is taped up by the handle and by the coupler, the rug nozzle doesnt change over properly and has a bit missing etc etc. well ... the machine is old... we bought it new.. at least 8 months ago! need i say more other than its by hoover! how can they turn out such trash now after they made fine examples like yours all those decades ago?
