Can anybody help, I recently purcased a Hoover 612, stripped it to clean it but didn't make a proper note of the wiring. Since its now finished i need to wire the motor properly so I can use it.
Do we know you by any chance from another site? LOL
Cant beat a Hotpoint Washer and a Hoover cleaner to keep that house ship shape.
Thought I had a picture of our 612 that a good friend of ours helped us to restore, soon as I get the sewing machine set back up I will whip up a new bag for it and it will look again like new.
Does this wiring diagram work for older Hoovers? This switch looks like my 543 model which had the inner wire pulled from the switch and I am not sure where to connect it.
As you can see the handle wire that is still connected to the switch goes to the right side of the pin where it was ripped from but I’m not sure where the handle wire from the left side of the pin connects to on the switch.
The brass screws hold one white wire each. The steel screw holds both black wires, since they are not affected by the switch. Just a way to make rewiring easier - no soldering.
