After a polishing of the hood with Turtlewax rubbing compound and regular Turtlewax. I was surprised to find out the headlight lense was glass, not plastic, talk about quality!

Sadly, I lost my grip on the hood when I had the machine upside down to reinstall it, the corner of it fell on the motor, and now there's a small hairline crack in the bakelite. Fragile stuff :(

Here is the before pic:

Will get better pics with the sunlight tomorrow, not enough justice is shown!

Hehe, around 1949 and 2009 cleaners!

Hoover 61 bag

It looks as though it might be. I've seen different variations of the Hoover 61 bag. Some that say "with Handisac" and some that don't. I recall hearing that there are even a handful of 28's out there that originally came with the Handisac bag system as an upgrade. I'd love to find an original rayon bag for my 61. Did all 61's come with a glass headlight lenses? I could swear mine was plastic.

The Model 62, which is nearly identical to the 63, has the blue bag that says 'with HandiSac' in diagonal script lettering.
