Wow! Fred this is the best photo in the entire Annual Report that year. This was taken in the warehouse which is still there and is still being used. I have seen other photos that were considered for the report and that have different products pictured. I wonder where the model 36 Convertible is in this one? I am still looking for one of the little cordless electric toothbrush units. At this time Hoover was going head to head with GE for a bigger share of the appliance market. Hoover was on the verge of aquiring Knapp-Monarch which resulted in even more products being produced with the Hoover label. Some of these appliances were top notch like the fry pans. Others were just there to be there. Thanks for posting this! Who would not want an Automatic Hoover washer and dryer????

I wonder too where model 36 was, maybe in the washroom and missed the family picture?
Although this would have been published in early 1968, which by then model 36 was done.
It is sad to see where things have gone, as the above picture is Hoover at its highest.
I still have some hope it may come back!

That is a commercial Convertible model 334.
To me it always seemed at this point that the upright line was a little thin. They really made up for this fact in just a few short years.

Wow, what wonderful pictures. I thought and still think those frypans are just the coolest thing ever. Neighbors of ours had a model 36. You don't see a whole lot of those it seems, but I liked the color. I never knew they had those manual push type carpet sweepers.

Anyone know what the thing on the green table with the white circles on it is? By the hairdryers. I take it the two items in front of it are electric toothbrushes?
I think all the overseas line were UK market goods. I had heard mentions of Hoover electric cookers and gas fires, but have never seen a picture of one before. Great stuff!

That item with the "circles" is the shoe shine kit for the upholstery shampooer on the bottom left corner of the green table. It has a small blue tank with it. This accessory kit would allow you to turn your shampooer into a shoe shiner. It had various buffing pads and I think shoe shine polish.
The one item is a cordless electric toothbrush...very rare...I have yet to find one. The item in front is the cordless electric knife. I found one at a yard sale. The lady was selling her father's items as he had passed on. He was an avid fisherman and used the knife on his boat to fillet fish.
Many of these products were built by other companies and simply labeled Hoover. Some were good and others were awful!

I have to say I have NEVER seen a suction polisher. What a wild item! I like the cooker pictured on the cover, too. I agree with Scott and others about the frying pans - they were very interesting. I was also very fascinated by the blenders, too.

Wet dry tank?
Anybody know anything about the large tank on the far left? Was it a wet/dry or dry only type? What kind of hose would go with it? I didn't know of any before the dual tank model from about ten years ago.

Thank you Tom! It is interesting that many of the outsourced USA goods were different appliances to the European market. I don't think we had the upholstery machine, skillets or the toothbrush.
I've got several unusual UK items - toaster, electric shaver and (soon) the TOL electric drill!
Seamus, I thought I'd heard recent mention of the cooker hehehe. The dishwasher was certainly Italian built, so was presumably an Italian brand. Don't know which though!
