Hi all ! I just wanted to share some new items which arrived few days ago and made me so happy! Well...yes...I have decided to spend some money for my vacuum-collection in the last months, because I have decided to avoid holidays this summer so....I had some extra budget to spend. Hope It's well spent, please let me know what you think, as I care very much the opinion of other collectors - from the UK above all , as they know the uk-hoovers often better than me ! THANKS GUIDO

HERE IS AFTER THE STRIP...AND TOTAL REPAINT

...THE COLOR DOES NOT MATCH THE ORIGINAL BUT LOOKS GOOD .
The previous owners had repainted it 3 times in the years. including the poor bakelite hood ( black, white and silver ! the original hammerite brown was simply destroyed ) and taking all that paint away took me lots of time. The hood looks repainted now butis not : its the bakelite colour. I repainted the chassis 6 times ( ! ) with acrilic paint + final transparent-paint finishing : THIS IS MY THIRD HOOVER 262 AND I HAVE REWIRED IT SO NOW I can USE IT for eveyday polishing, using a paper bag fitted in its fabric bag. Works great !

Thanks for the great pictures. Your Hoovers and other cleaners are beautiful. You do such nice restoration work.

I notice that you have many bagged polishers. This oddity seems to be popular in Italy (and perhaps other parts of Europe) and Australia. This is not something that happened in the US, except in rare cases when an industrial manufacturer used them on commercial machines. Are they still popular in Italy now?
