Hi all ! I just wanted to share some new items which arrived few days ago and made me so happy! Well...yes...I have decided to spend some money for my vacuum-collection in the last months, because I have decided to avoid holidays this summer so....I had some extra budget to spend. Hope It's well spent, please let me know what you think, as I care very much the opinion of other collectors - from the UK above all , as they know the uk-hoovers often better than me ! HERE IS AFTER THE STRIP...AND TOTAL REPAINT

...THE COLOR DOES NOT MATCH THE ORIGINAL BUT LOOKS GOOD .
The previous owners had repainted it 3 times in the years. including the poor bakelite hood ( black,white and silver ! the original hammerite brown was simply destroyed ) and taking all that paint away took me lots of time. The hood looks repainted now butis not : its the bakelite colour. I repainted the chassis 6 times ( ! ) with acrilic paint + final transparent-paint finishing : THIS IS MY THIRD HOOVER 262 AND I HAVE REWIRED IT SO NOW I can USE IT for eveyday polishing, using a paper bag fitted in its fabric bag. Works great !

This is not something that happened in the US, except in rare cases when an industrial manufacturer used them on commercial machines. Are they still popular in Italy now?</span>
