hoover 119 homemade bag

Just completed another bag for this machine .Its not perfect but anything is better than those grey replacements. Its made from heavy duty Calico dyed brown [in the washer] the stripes are done with a gold felt paint pen [don't panic guys there's a paper bag in there]

I think it looks perfect! Looks almost like a genuine Hoover bag.

I have made a new [black ]bag for a 700

but at the moment its just plain because I have never seen an original so don't know what to put on it .If someone could post a good photo I would be great full

Anthony, that replica Hoover 119 bag is BEAUTIFUL! Truly a work of art.

Have you ever considered making replacement outer bags as a side hobby? Made to order of course. With your talents, I bet you would have many interested collectors wanting you to make bags for their machines! Give it some thought.

sorry i got your name wrong . I have made a template now all i have to do is source some orange paint or maybe a felt pen .I have even thought about embroidering the logo onto the bag although that may be time consuming

Why

Don't you screen print a bag. The felt markers etc will flake off rather quickly.
