I need some help connecting a modern converter box up to a 1980 Sears television. The instructions for the converter box want me to connect an RF coax cable and a set of AV cables to the back of my television. My TV has none of those things. All it has are a set of screws for a UHF antenna, and a set of screws for a VHF antenna. The VHF screws have a switchbox attached to them that we use for the Atari 2600. What adapters, if they exist, do I need to make this work?

Take your Nintendo/Atari box off the VHF connector

And add you one of these, OR if there are two screws on the TV side of the box, add it there: I have the same setup on my 1982 GE TV and it works just fine. The converter box works on either Channel 3 or 4 I believe, so you will want it on the VHF side, not the UHF side. Hope this helps:
