Thanks, Ralph

She's the most creative person I know. There is NOTHING she can't do. She sees the world very, very differently thanmost. She and her husband were ballroom dance students of mine. She had a very severe anuerism in her head. We've been through a lot.Every year, she makes these ornaments for her special friends. They're all over the house.
Perhaps "Santa" will deliver a HOOVER ornament to you next year.

Yes indeed...

That was a wonderful time. Was really great to meet some new collectors and to see old friends. John's hospitality is second to none. It was especially fun bringing that rare Handivac back to it's former glory and see it go to such a good home. Also to see how happy Joe was to receive a Hoover DAM that he hasn't been able to connect with for so long.

Don't feel too bad John but I also am still taking Christmas things down including my Grandmother's 1950's white table top 4' tree, some window candles and some stray Christmas lights. I don't think I have ever left things up until February before. Well tonight Christmas will officially ended at my place.

I was thankful the weather held out and that everyone made it home safely. Hopefully warmer days are ahead and I can't wait to see everybody again during the Summer.

Can you believe it was already a week ago?

We're promise more snow tomorrow p.m.
Things are in total "disarray" while I "de-Christmas" the place.
Valentines are going up now, then shamrocks!
All of the cars here are dirty, as, it keeps snowing.
Mark's beautiful Cadillac, even! He has it parked, (see photo) in a parking lot across from his home. Behind the cars is about 35' of solid ROCK!. Just above that is the famed Pittston Hospital...... firmly built up there, far away from any danger of mine subsidence. That has been an issue around some parts.
So, that "haven on the hill" sits, next to it's old nursing school, overlooking the entire city, an awsome view from the top... I've been up on the roof......one could practically see New Jersey, if one cared to. (Well, THAT might be an exaggeration.... as I don't lie.) Don't you hate that?
So, Marks car, J.T.'s car, the former Mercedes, (sorry Mark, had to... we know about that "Caddy", lolol (inside joke there).
Hope you all enjoyed the step by step guide of the mega meet. I like to help people get a true feel for what they're like.
Again, people wanted to go down to the cellars..... Lots of cleaners, some of them are the non-Hoover species.......... lots of cleaner boxes. I keep those boxes. They DO serve a great purpose. I keep them filled with other vacuums. so terribly handy. It beats throwing them away. I mean what else would you do with them?Nothing like opening up a box and finding a nice HOOVER in it. Some are covered in plastic to keep them clean. They're pristine... no tears, rips or holes. And, there's now only a finite number of genuine boxes. Next time, more will emerge from the basements. 2 of those cellars have cleaners, polishers, even steamers in them.
