this would have done a lot better. It's a very rare early "Hoover Special" (factory rebuild) model 700. I have one of these that Stan Kann gave me; I think it's more beautiful than the original 700!

I agree with you Charles that this Special is one of the most attractive ones. I have a few imported Specials (different models), one of which has a brown wrinkled finish.

It would have been nice to get this 700 Special but unfortunately I can't keep my eye on Ebay all the time and I'm bound to miss stuff..plus they won't always post abroad. Then there's the considerations of cost to import..but I would certainly have paid a lot more than $1 even so!!

I've just been given yet another warning not to bring any more Hoovers into this house but to wait until I move out..
