Hi,

I need a bit of help if possible. My Hetty HET 200A hoover needs a new PCB, so I was looking on your Vacuumland website and found some fantastic information on an old thread number: 23499. After looking at the info on that thread I knew I needed a Red PCB 208700 A01, so I followed the link on that old thread to eBay and I searched for the board and bought a Red PCB 208700 A01 from the seller in that link.

Anyway, I received the PCB on Friday, but the seller has sent me a Blue PCB 208800 A01 instead of the Red PCB 208700 A01 that I ordered. After searching the web it is showing that model is for a James hoover. So I messaged the seller and told them that they have sent me the wrong board, but the seller said that the Blue PCB will work with my hoover. But my Hetty is 600W/1200W and the seller sent me a Blue PCB that is 500W/800W.

So I messaged the seller again regarding the wattage but they haven’t bothered to reply. All over the net it’s saying that Hetty 200A needs the Red PCB 208700 A01.

Should I send it back to the seller? Or will it work, or blow?

Thanks

No idea on if it will work or not but personally I'd send it back.

Also, I wouldn't bother replacing the PCB unless you need the two levels of power.

Just remove the old PCB and the associated wiring so you machine runs from the main on/off switch in high power mode only.

If you got something other than what you ordered, they should exchange it without cost to you. If they give you trouble, open a case with ebay.
Even if it may work in your machine, it may fail soon after since your machine is a higher wattage.
Does the manufacturer give any cross reference to this blue board?
