Hello All,

Would this advertisement for a Heritage II be worth $150.00? The Ad states that it's been cleaned inside and "brushes" checked for wear. I had some Email exchanges with these people and will not even let me come to their home and see it in action. They want to meet at a Starbucks and exchange money. What a bunch of paranoid freaks. You know if they went as far as to state "brushes were checked for wear", one would think they would elaborate more on the servicing. Anyway, here is the URL.

considering it doesn't have the rug nozzle NO. also if you know how to repair kirby's which it seems you do know how quite well from your classic III post, i wouldn't pay for than 40 for ANY kirby pre g-series. attachments or not unless its 562 or older. the most i've ever paid for a craigslist kirby was $30. you can get complete sets of heritage II attachments on ebay for $30. even with the shampooer. i got a set with all of that for $15 including the hose once. always shop frugal when you're a repairman. even if only for your own personal machines. i paid 19.99 for a sanitronic VII on ebay not too long ago. the only exception to my "cheap" kirby buys was a $110 classic omega. but it had all the basic attachments, and rug shampooer NEVER USED in thier boxes plus the manual. this kirby hII is missing items. i snappd up a tradition in grapevine recently with basic attachments in the blue plastic carry case and hose for $15.

also the fact they wont let you test it is a deal killer for me. period. even if i can repair it's faults. and meeting to exchange in a public place for a vacuum? get real. also frequent thrift stores and estate sales as well. my first kirby, oddly enough a heritage II i paid $30 for a thrift world in lewisville.

It's funny you posted that one, I called that lady she was very rude to me and even stated that "Kirby's are POS's and you couldn't give me one and Kirby sales men are A$$ h*les)...So I said, you must of had a bad experience with kirby people. The conversation pretty much went down hill from there, then she hung up on me. As far as I'm concerned that lady can go F-her self.
