My Heritage II Height adjustment is slipping. When I press the button to lower it it skips all the way down till its setting on the carpet. What would cause this and how can it be fixed?

Hey preston

I bought a old h2, and it did the same thing. It was absolutely filthy. The ratchet groove was packed with so much dirt and sand, you couldn't raise or lower it. After I cleaned it, it developed the same problem.
I believe the sand rounded the grooves just enough that the ratchet pedal would slip. I ended buying a newer front axle. Works great now.

if cleaning the ratcheting groves doesn't solve the problem you probibly need a new spring that is under the pedal to lower the nozzle. worn out spring will not create enought tension to keep the peddals from slipping. also there could be just enough wear that it is causing it to slip.
