Different Nozzle

If it is a Model 512 or earlier, this nozzle would be the correct one. Both nozzles will work; however, the brush rolls are different. This one has a brush roll with open ends, which is the correct brush roll for any Kirby Model 512 or earlier. But again, both nozzles will work. The only thing about this nozzle is that it has the 516 (1956) and later belt lifter. It still works. It just has a slightly different look.

That could theoretically be any model from 505 to 515, depending on whether it's been serviced or rebuilt over the years. The only way to know for sure sure is to ask the owner to look at the serial number tag on the bottom.

My guess is that it's a 510, 511 or 512. The bag appears to be in nice condition, just a little faded. It would be worth to get the machine just for the bag!

Models 513-515 had the "push/push" foot switch that would become commonplace on all Kirbys from that point, whereas models 505-512 all had the toggle switch.

Model 515 is the only one in this particular generation with a 10-blade metal fan.
