Help My handle split =(

I recived my longed for Hoover convertible model 68 in my favorite color,Blue =), however the handle had a tiny split just near the bag support hook and when i put it together it split alomost all the way around. I think i may have to solder it? Epoxy?any suggestions on how i can fix. I coult hunt for a tophalf handle but Id have to find a matching paint as this handle is paited to match the color of the hood and bag.You can kinda see in the pic where the crack started.

jb weld or a tig weld. a solder joint wouldnt hold

My 67 snapped off entirely

HOOVER did away with the "diving board" and reverted to the spring... for that reason.

Ill see what I can do. Ive wanted this hoover for so long I finaly get one and I broke it. Just my luck.

John, I know but I had to have it lol.Mine is hanging there by a timy thread. Mabe like an eighth of an inch.
