If the item sells, you're charged a final value fee. Final value fees are calculated based on the total amount of the sale and are charged per item. In this case, the "total amount of the sale" is the final price of the item, shipping charges, and any other amounts you may charge the buyer. Sales tax is not included.

Ask the seller to check the box size and weight of the vacuum (as I bet that is why shipping is expensive as they entered the wrong dimensions of the box), as most places now charge by cubic weight/dimensional, not the weight of the box, UNLESS the item weighs more than cubic rate than the bastards charge by the weight.
