Help. I notice a small hole in hose

On my cirrus vacuum. That lower hose that's fixed to the vacuum. I saw a small hole on the outside of that at the back of the hose. I I see the actual bottom hose is an ultra cheap replacement. But I can't find any instructions online how to change it? Is it just take the lower plate off/ pop the old hose off and put the new one in? Or is there more to it? Thanks

It should be easy, yes remove the bottom plate and take the old hose out.
