Help Hoover Windtunnel Aniv

My mother in law has a hoover windtunnel aniversary and the dirty light stays on nonstop is there maybe a dirty sensor. And if so where.

where is the light located...is it the one below the dustbag cover....or on the body.

on the bottom of the machine that says when the area you are done cleaning is clean there must be some sensor that is dirty.

I have three of those models two blue and one in the goldish color. I will look once I get home but I belive the sensor is just below where the hose hooks onto the back of the vacuum cleaner. You will need to clean around the opening about the length of your finger.

i believe there is a sensor that light is wired to....follow wires from light to it and poke around...could be dirty/loose.

Its just annoying I have never seen one do this before and really do not want to take it apart.

well if you dont want to take apart...u could take a little black paint an color it out...the light lens..use as is till she get ajusted to it..but beings its the mom in law...id take it apart and fix....one less issue to deal with the inlaws on...trust me on this one , the fix is worth the payoff.

We had this problem when I was at Hoover... A LOT of back and forth emails and phone calls to the engineering department.

You have to take off the back plastic piece that holds the attachments (part of this also goes around the hose opening). I think there are 4 screws... That panel snaps off, and you can see the microphone for the dirt finder.

We had a little foam wedge that we would put in the part of the tool holder piece that went around the hose opening and butted up against the microphone. The foam wedge held the microphone firmly in place. And held it still from vibrations, which could resonate through the machine. At least, that's the explanation that we got for the EDF lights staying red. We were also told to shoot a squirt of WD-40 on the back of the microphone, where the wires connected to the microphone. No idea why... But it seemed to work most of the time.
