Hello, welcome to the forum!
The Hoover Spectrum was introduced in the early 1990s as both a high-end sister model to the similar, though less feature-laden Futura canister line, as well as a replacement for the Dimension series as Hoover's top-of-the-line canister. Though somewhat different in design, it retained many of the Dimension's key features, including the variable motor speed control, separate on/off switch for.the.power nozzle, and the gas-pump style handgrip. It was also the last Hoover canister to use the Quadraflex agitators, with its successor models using the spiral, tufted bristled agitators from.the Elite/Legacy/Powermax series uprights.
