Hello, new member here. I came to this forum because like many others I have a small collection of vacuums and I need help with repairing one that I recently acquired. While I'm mostly a modern SEBO lover that I do have a weird soft spot for the Electrolux Canada made canisters from the 1980s. Grew up using a minty Electrolux E2000 and since using that vacuum (which the family still owns) that I've always immensely respected the Electrolux vacs from years past when they were high quality benchmark setting units.

Welcome aboard! You'll find there are quite a few Electrolux people here and I have 4 vintage models myself: a XII, XXX, Automatic E, and a G.

Hi - Where are you located? I'm in Moose Jaw, Sk and have a large collection. I was also service manager for Electrolux for 10 years if you need info.

Welcome fellow Canadian! My focus has always been on Eureka vacuums because I grew up with a Canadian-made blue 260 upright in the 1960’s. Learning about Eureka’s Canadian connections really re-enforced my obsession over the years. Eureka’s founder Fred Wardell was a Canadian from Toronto, and Kitchener’s Onward Manufacturing plant pumped out hundreds of Eurekas made especially for Eaton’s and The Bay. It was really cool to learn that the Canadian factory exported Eureka bare floor brushes to the American plant in Bloomington well into the 1990’s!!!! The king of our Canadian delegation here at Vacuumland is Doug Smith in Saskatchewan! He’s got a great website which I love visiting to get details about lots of Canadian vacs!!!!
