this is the first time I have see one like it
ps the vacuum came out of the trash but the hose was found on ebay

XXX / LX / LXI Rug Nozzles

As I have said, this is a very mysterious issue and one that no one has ever been able to explain to my satisfaction. The rug nozzle with your machine is, as you can see, plastic and metal whereas the other, presumably earlier, nozzle was all metal except for the bumpers.

Congratulations on the find. It still mortifies me to see what people throw out. With very little tuning it will probably last another 60 years. Enjoy the heck out of it!
