That is, have you ever used the polishing & buffing attachments on your Kirby to, uh,... rub itself out?
And would you use the original unopened polishing compound, or leave it sealed and just use Mother's metal polish, or similar?

Sounds like...

a good idea, I recently returned a bench polisher I had bought to shine up my Kirbies because I had not used it for months and it was in the way.

Before that, I had attempted to use another machine to polish the one I was cleaning, but the switch wasn't the correct one. Glad you posted this, I am pretty sure I now have the model with the right switch configuration to do this now.

curious...

I was just wondering if anybody has tried it, because I've never used my Handi Buttler at all, and I don't know how good it is.

Nevermind

OK, never mind. I found a thread talking about polishing Kirbies with their own attachments.
Apparently, some think they do a good job.
As for the Kirby polishing compound, some like it, some don't, but most agree that Flitz brand polish is excellent.
It's even sold on the Kirby website, so it sounds like the way to go.
Thanks. :)
